In addition to providing specific training as listed we are able to advise clients on their duties and legal responsibilities for telescopic plant operations. We can develop and deliver training according to each client’s specific work practices regardless of what kind of telescopic construction plant appliances they use.

We offer training wherever and whenever telescopic plant operations occur and our clients include those in manufacturing and engineering (overhead travelling cranes), construction transportation (lorry loader cranes) and other sectors where the safe management and supervision of construction plant operations is not only critical for health and safety but a legal mandatory requirement.

BLOCK BOOKINGS
These are the best value for your money, the way the block booking works is. We will give you a block price to under take the training you require. The training can be split over various days. All we require is the number of staff you require training, the shift pattern and the number of days you would like to spread the training over, we will then give you a block price for the training, all or quotes are valid for 28 days

What does the course cover?

The JCB Teletruk has been specifically designed and built to: Reach across curtain siders to enable loading / unloading from one side, Save yard space and enhance operations, Offer greater safety through unimpaired forward vision, Enhance safe working practices through a load movement indicator and be operated with both forks and a hydraulically operated bucket.

Testing and Further Courses

Theory Test – a verbal test with one-to-one questions with the tester.

Practical Test – a test including: –

• Pre-start and running checks.
• Change the attachments if different attachments are used!
• Travel in a loaded and unloaded state.
• Prepare and set the Telehandler for each lift.
• Deposit a load onto the loading out tower.
• Retrieve loads, lower to ground and place at given destinations.
• Park the Telehandler.
• Carry out the shutdown and securing procedures.

On completion of the training course, the trainee will be able to

Name all the main components of the truck

Carry out a Pre-shift inspection check & know when and how to report.

Operate the Truck within the safety limits defined by the manufacturer.

Stack & De-stack from various heights with various loads safely

Manoeuvre a laden truck in a narrow-confined area.
